March event/game/movie roundup.

Here’s yet another one of my purchase list blog posts, as we come to the end of march 2014… Been a fair while since I last posted anything to this blog.
Anyhoo…

Videos:
Futurama: Season 1 to 7
The Simpsons: Season 17 to 24
Angel: Season 2
Buffy: Season 1 to 7

Some of these videos were difficult to locate.

Games:
Final Fantasy XIV (pc)
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (ps3)
Tales of Symphonia HD (ps3)
Final Fantasy X HD (ps3)

I still need to finish Final Fantasy XIII… I seem to buy more games than I actually finish :/ I get bored very easy these days and have no idea why.

In other news, work gas picked up again, and I have been in this job now for just about 5 years. Would like a change, but there aren’t any suitable jobs to switch to in my area, and I can’t drive due to my back problems.

I’ll be helping out with more furry events this year in an attempt to get back into the community after being a tad reclusive.

Another thing, I am out of credit and cannot reply to any text messages (and can’t recharge till Wednesday)

No op shop can take bali dvds

No, no opshop can take bali or thai dvds. They are still considered to be illegal and are banned from sale in this country. There are fines in the tens of thousands for businesses caught.

This is according to western australian law and the retail trade practices act.

Check out commlaw.gov.au or local state government for more information.

Series of unfortunate events

Time for me to do another post in my blog, which i have neglected for a fair while.

This time i just want to vent my frustration at something, which they say is healthy.

First of all, Kony 2012. Getting rid of one guy won’t necessarily change a thing.

Secondly, political correctness. It still really pisses me off. I still won’t have it in my house.

Thirdly, anything that says its free, when it is really anything but.

Forthly, having to prove that i am infact, myself all the damn time. Sure, it helps stop identity theft, but it stresses me out and i am sick of it.

Local Charity Shop Fire

A witness has described how flames engulfed a Salvation Army store in Greenwood this morning.

Employees and some customers were in the store when the fire began, The West Australian understands.

Michael Dawes said the fire started “very small but within the space of 10 minutes it was massive”.

“I saw a guy running around the front of the place on his phone and the fire kept growing,” Mr Dawes said.

“The flames started off about 2m high but then got up into the roof, and then they were about 10m higher than the roof of the building.

“It was pretty crazy. Then windows started exploding, which was really loud.”

FESA spokesman Allen Gale said there was significant structural damage to the building but some of the items in the back of the premises would probably be recoverable.

Mr Gale said the flames reached about 10m high, but fire crews had the blaze contained within 10 minutes and controlled in 35 minutes.

They’ve used some great tactics to get the fire under control, he said.

Firefighting crews from Belmont, Osborne Park, Duncraig, Perth and Wangara are attempting to extinguish the blaze.

Mr Gale said the cause of the fire was yet to be determined, but said it was probably an accident.

The Fire and Emergency Services Authority rated the fire as a “third alarm”, which means there was a serious risk from the amount of electrical appliances in the building.

Updated: Employees were permitted to retrieve their belongings once the fire had been dealt with.

Motorists are advised the fire has resulted in the closure of Wanneroo Road between Canham Way and Cockham Road.

Updated: Road closure is no longer in effect.

A wee bit crook

Ok, So I’m back after a break… The bad news is that after the last few weeks of trying to beat this sickness, I am still not feeling the best. This cough still won’t go away, back & neck problems are still here and yeah, pretty much f**ked.

On a much lighter note, an upcoming puppet show ‘The Dingo Pawpet Show’, which I’ve been planning while sick, will commence soon. Its first episode has been somewhat planned out and is scheduled to be filmed sometime in the next few weeks.

The Dingo Pawpet Show, is a show about everything, and possibly nothing australia related. Examples of content may include: Jokes, Video game reviews, “What’s on in Capital City X”, Movie reviews, weather, etc.

The show currently has 1 character, but I plan to expand that to 4 as the need arises. It’s to be a 50/50 gender split. 3 Folkmanis puppets will be used in this production, and 1 non-folkmanis puppet.

The show will be filmed with 1x 10mp camera in 1080p and, in future a more powerful 16mp camera. A live feed, is scheduled to be streamed to my Justin.tv account, however the stream will be very low quality compared to the youtube and “downloadable” versions. The show will also be uploaded to my youtube account, though I may make a seperate youtube account for the show.

I’m back after a bit

And so my readers, I am back, but I need to clean the place for a rental inspection which is just 2 weeks away. So I may be away again.

My smartphone is on the fritz and is currently under repair at a repair joint in Queensland. Can’t wait to get it back as I miss it terribly.

Also, there was a bomb scare at my local shopping centre. No-one was injured and the police had the area blocked off for quite a long time.

One last thing is that after 2 months of looking, I have finally found my watch…. lol…

Rather Uncharitable Robbery

The person who committed the act.

The GREENWOOD Salvos store that I currently work at had its entire takings stolen in an uncharitable March robbery.

“It is certainly devastating for us being a charitable organisation,” Salvation Army State manager Sean Burgess said.

The robber smashed his way into the Canham Way store through a glass panel between March 5 and 7. He then broke into an office, smashing his way through a door, located the store’s safe and stole money from a metal cash box.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

And I’m back…

And so I have returned from a short break. To tell my readers that signups for RFLAN #35 begin from the 21st of March. Which I may be attending. RF Lan 35 will be held at the curtin stadium. Curtin Stadium is located at the Curtin University.

Work’s going fine.

My quest to finish some of my games is going fine.

The parents are fine.

Too tired to finish this.
